HALA KRUPOWA and CHAPEL on OKRĄGLICA

Hala Krupowa, located in the central part of the Polica Range, is a popular tourist destination, especially since you can take a rest in the well-known PTTK tourist hostel built in 1936, burnt by the Germans in 1944 during a manhunt for partisans and rebuilt in 1955.

The hostel stands below the scenic Kucałowa Pass (1170 m amsl), which is the largest junction of tourist trails in the area. It is worthwhile to climb from here to the nearby Okrąglica (1247 m amsl; access following the red trail signs of the Main Beskid Mountains Trail), where, next to a mobile phone mast, thanks to which this peak is a characteristic point of the panorama, you can see the Chapel of Our Lady Guardian of Tourists from 1987, the walls of which are covered with numerous commemorative plaques dedicated mostly to the deceased mountain people.
