Jałowiec (1111 m amsl) is the highest hill of the Jałowiec Range in Żywiec Beskids and one of the most popular hiking destinations in the western part of the Podbabiogórze. On the peak, there is a cross commemorating the frequent stays in the area of cardinals: Stefan Wyszyński and Karol Wojtyła, and from the pasture called Hala Kubulkowa, which covers the western slopes of Jałowiec, there is a wonderful view of the Żywiec and Silesian Beskids as well as the Żywiec Basin with its lake. Particularly impressive is the huge massif of the Pilsko.
