KOSKOWA GÓRA

Koskowa Góra (866 m amsl) is one of the higher summits of Maków Beskids, very easily accessible to everyone, even less experienced tourists. Despite its not very impressive height, it is a very attractive place in terms of landscape, and from its highest platform stretches a very broad panorama, almost in all directions. From here, one can see, from an original perspective, Babia Góra, the Polica Range and other peaks of the Żywiec Beskids, the distant Silesian Beskids, the hills of the Little and Maków Beskids, the gently rolling Gorce Mountains and picturesque, isolated peaks of the Island Beskids, as well as level areas of the foothills Pogórze Wielickie, behind which you can even see blocks of Cracow and fragments of the upland Wyżyna Krakowsko-Częstochowska disappearing on the horizon. Only the view south, towards the Tatra Mountains, is obscured by fast-growing trees.
